I do dog sitting only by word of mouth. This would be a good site for people who don’t know any dog sitters personally.

i am disabled , but before that i was manager of a dog and cat kennel. I miss it a lot. if i end up getting well enough to work again, this is defo something i would consider.

This is a great idea! I always feel bad leaving my animals at the kennel, this way I know they are getting the attention they need and deserve.

Interesting concept but not something I could do. I have a dog that does not get along with others.
This looks like a great concept/option for dog owners that are in need of someone to take care of their beloved pet. And it’s also great for a person looking to make some money while doing something they love-playing with and taking care of dogs!
This is a very cleaver idea to have a pet sitter, especially when going away for a while, or just a few days, it’s nice to have someone look after your pet.
This is a pretty interesting concept. It’s certainly a change from putting the dog in a kennel, which always seems so sad.

This sounds like a good idea but I highly doubt there are any in our area! We never have anything convenient and needed like this! LOL My mom would actually be able to go visit my sister without having to worry if my brother is going to actually remember to let the dogs out! 🙂
This would be a wonderful service to keep in mind during our next big family vacation. Usually a family member watches our Harvey, but if we’re all going away together, we all need a comfortable, affordable solution for all of our pets.

This is a great service. Many times we have friends who have pets who need a sitter and cannot find a reasonable priced or any sitter in the area.

Like the picture sending idea. They should add that to the babysitting sites. Like a pic per hour.
I do think this is a great idea because lets face it some of these Dog Boarders are not exactly reliable, at least with this DogVacay you have some type of control and if the people really are not as “good” as they say they are you do have a way to handle that.
This is a great option, our poor older dog can not handle a kennel. This might work though and there is one in my area, which is really surprising, there is nothing in my area.

Great idea for dog owners ours are barn dogs and when someone takes care of the cows they do the dog also

I think this is a wonderful idea instead of taking your pet to a kennel where they are in a cage most of the time and around other dogs that can possibly get in a fight with the. This way they are not put in a cage and have a more one on one interaction with a sitter.
I wish I would have known about this last month, when my dad needed a sitter for his three dogs. We found someone, but it was not easy and it was after the person he’d already lined up disappeared into thin air.
I will definitely be looking into the services offered by Dog Vacay the next time that we go on vacation.
I’m sure that my dogs would love this so much more than being boarded.

I think it is a good idea but I don’t know if I could really leave my dogs with someone I did not know personally. For some it may be a great thing though!
This is such an awesome deal as every time my daughter goes out of town, I have to babysit her dog which is not always convenient. This would be a great place for her to find someone to take care of her little lovely.

A wonderful way to make extra cash doing something you love
We never travel without our dogs but this looks like a fantastic alternative to boarding. I would love to be a Dog Vacay host!
It’s great that they’re vetted and insured. Pets are greatly loved and it’s nice knowing they should be well taken care of.
That’s interesting since I am writing this from a house where I am caring for two dogs. I only do it part time and only through word of mouth from friends.

🙁 this makes me sad. I am a HUGE animal lover, and grew up in a home with both cats, and dogs. My husband is allergic to cats, and my son and daughter are allergic to dogs. My kids have very bad allergy, so even pet sitting would be out of the question for me. I miss my animals!!!
