When I told my oldest daughter that a copy of The Hunchback of Notre Dame was going to be arriving for review, she gasped. I knew that this would make her happy because this movie was one of her favorites as a younger child.

Rediscover the majestic musical adventure of The Hunchback Of Notre Dame and The Hunchback Of Notre Dame II – together for the first time in stunning Blu-ray High Definition. Bring your family together for the extraordinary tale of Quasimodo in a soaring celebration of the beauty inside all of us!

Join the world’s most unlikely hero as he meets his first real friend, Esmeralda, while fighting to save the people and city he loves. The legendary story continues as Quasi reunites with his gargoyle friends to protect the cathedral’s most famous bell and find true love. The Hunchback of Notre Dame soars with a magnificent score by renowned composer Alan Menken (Beauty And The Beast, Aladdin). Enjoy both magical films, bursting with brilliant animation and unforgettable characters, together on Disney Blu-ray.

Although it’s a little darker and more serious than a typical Disney film, it still invites the children in and keeps them spellbound. My Emma loves musicals and instantly loved these movies. I like the storyline and how Quasimodo finds true love. I try to tell my children often that inner beauty is so much more important that outer. Quasimodo lets his inner beauty shine proudly.

Truly one of my favorite Disney films-and movies, period! This one is truly underrated. I realize that Disney struggled with this one since it’s not as kid-friendly as some of their previous releases, but I still love it. Such a bummer with the backlash the film faced at the time of its release. It’s certainly a lot more kid-friendly than Victor Hugo’s original novel-HELLO! Anyways, the voice cast is superb. I wonder what it might’ve been like with their original choice for Quasimodo-rock star Meat Loaf! “Hunchback” boasts some of Disney’s best film songs. My faves from this one are “God Save the Outcasts” and All-4-One’s version of “Someday”-I even have the CD single for it! This movie deserves a look if you’ve never seen it, and hopefully will become a future Broadway production.

I used to love this movie when I was a kid! Sometimes I feel like these Disney films that might be a bit less popular are forgotten with the blue ray and/or combo pack releases…glad to see this one coming out!

This storyline looks cute for bigger kids, I think its a bit much for my 2 year old though… We’ll have to wait a few years to watch it :)/

  6. I remember this movie when it came out, I just don’t think the characters are as appealing as other disney movies but its a good one nonetheless
