It’s The Thought That Counts | #KleenexCares

Growing up we hear repeatedly, “it’s the thought that counts.” In the moments when others reach out with small gestures or thoughtful words, we recognize the truth behind this phrase. There was a rough patch in our lives when we lost a baby during the second trimester. As I had been a stay at home mom for so long, the “work family” mentality was new to me. There were two girls in particular that I had instantly bonded to when I started working and they were there for me with meals for the family and gossip magazines to help me take my mind off of things. I was given orders to sit down, relax and catch up. It felt so incredibly good to have people help out with the everyday things so that I could heal physically and mentally.

In the midst of the hustle of the holidays, don’t forget to pause and remember to share the little things like a Kleenex Care Package. There’s nothing worse than being down with a cold or the flu. This always seems to happen in our house when we’ve run out of Kleenex and our noses pay the price with toilet tissue until either (1) I am healthy enough to get to the store or (2) a family member stops off on their way home from work to purchase some for me/us. The softness of Kleenex tissues is a simple gift that shows others how much you care. It’s so easy to grab an extra box or go online and order your free Care Package and it could make the world of difference to someone else when they are feeling out of sorts.

Kleenex is giving us the opportunity to make the care complete with a Kleenex Brand Care Pack. All we have to do is visit a local retailer, purchase a specially marked Kleenex brand bundle pack and redeem the code on the box! To redeem, simply visit Kleenex.com and follow the directions to send your Care Pack to someone that needs a little care. Check out Kleenex’s Facebook page for more information.

I wrote this review while participating in an ambassador program by Mom Central Consulting on behalf of the Kleenex brand and received product samples and a promotional item to thank me for taking the time to participate.

In the hustle of Christmas we are thinking of “family” but there are so many other people that need to be remembered for a different reason. I have 2 friends that have “different” needs right now… and they are going to get a “thought that counts” to help them at this time. Thank you and Kleenex for reminding me of this.

I know this is a sponsored post, and this really is a nice program for Kleenex, but really? How would anyone react if someone gave them a box of kleenex (even if it is part of a “care package”), when there is something going on in your life?

  4. I think that is really nice gesture of Kleenex and the person sending it. There is so much sadness in life that it would be a pick me up.To know someone cares is sometimes one of the best medicines. Thank you for re-sharing this.

Wow, I’m sorry to hear about the loss of your child.. Friends and family are the only ones who can help make this better and I’m glad to hear that you had people there to count on and talk to. As far as the Kleenex care pack, this is my thoughts on it.. Yes, it is the thought that counts, but for me, I truly enjoy getting things that I really am going to use. In the winter, who isn’t going to need a Kleenex? It is very practical and would be good for just about anybody!
